MMIS Systems Analyst

Location: Columbia, SC

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Employment Type: Contract

Interview Mode: 1 Round (Virtual/Online)

Compliance: Requires mandatory State Criminal, Credit, and E-Verify background checks.

Residency: Must be a South Carolina resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to start at own expense.

Liaison Services: Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and the IT organization to translate user needs into technical solutions.

Reporting & Analytics: Develop, retrieve, and distribute complex datasets and reports to internal and external stakeholders for reconciliation and operational monitoring.

Operational Support: Provide ongoing systems support for the legacy MMIS Online application and integrated Provider tools.

Testing & Quality: Lead activities supporting MMIS operational testing to ensure system integrity and compliance with state Medicaid standards.

Process Improvement: Assist the Bureau of Medicaid Systems in streamlining data workflows and operational processing.

Systems Analysis: Proven experience in analyzing complex legacy systems and documenting business requirements.

Data Management: Proficiency in data retrieval, reporting, and large-scale dataset distribution.

Medicaid Knowledge: Familiarity with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) or similar healthcare claims processing environments.

Technical Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical business users clearly and concisely.

Collaboration: Experience working within small, specialized teams (Team size: 5) to meet critical deadlines.

Specialized Tools: Experience with Provider Web Tools, Provider Enrollment applications, or EDI/Translator systems.

Public Sector: Previous experience supporting state or federal health and human services agencies.

Analytical Tools: Experience with SQL or other reporting tools used for operational data reconciliation.
