Role Overview
We are seeking an Executive Client Partner to serve as the trusted advisor to CIOs and senior technology executives across our strategic accounts. This leader will own executive relationships, drive account expansion, ensure delivery excellence, and connect business priorities to meaningful technical opportunities.
This is a relationship‑first, business‑led role - ideal for someone with a consulting background who can sit confidently with a CIO to discuss organizational priorities, budgets, transformation roadmaps, and enterprise change. Technical fluency is helpful, but deep engineering debates are not the focus.
Mission : Become the executive that CIOs trust. Build long‑term, strategic partnerships that expand revenue, strengthen delivery outcomes, and position Blackstraw as an indispensable transformation partner.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Relationship Ownership
Serve as the primary executive point of contact for CIOs, CTOs, and senior technology leaders.
Build deep, advisory‑level relationships grounded in trust, credibility, and business understanding.
Represent Blackstraw in strategic conversations around transformation, modernization, and organizational priorities.
Account Growth & Strategy
Own and expand multi‑million‑dollar accounts through strategic planning, opportunity identification, and value articulation.
Develop and execute account strategies that align with client roadmaps and Blackstraw’s capabilities.
Partner with Sales and Delivery to drive renewals, expansions, and new solution adoption.
Delivery Governance & Execution
Oversee delivery health across all engagements within the account.
Ensure projects meet expectations for quality, timelines, and outcomes.
Proactively identify risks, resolve escalations, and maintain executive‑level visibility into delivery performance.
Business–Technology Alignment
Translate client business problems into actionable technical opportunities for Blackstraw’s teams.
Guide clients through prioritization, budgeting, and transformation planning.
Ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise goals, not just technical feasibility.
Internal Coordination & Leadership
Coordinate cross‑functional teams across Blackstraw — delivery, engineering, product, data, and leadership.
Ensure seamless communication, alignment, and execution across all internal stakeholders.
Champion a culture of accountability, transparency, and client‑centricity.
Required
10+ years of experience in consulting, digital transformation, or enterprise account leadership.
Proven success managing and expanding large enterprise accounts ($10M+).
Strong executive presence with the ability to engage CIO‑level stakeholders confidently.
Deep understanding of enterprise IT priorities: modernization, cloud, data, transformation, operating models, and budgets.
Experience overseeing delivery governance across multiple programs or portfolios.
Ability to connect business strategy to technical execution without needing to be a hands‑on technologist.
Preferred
Experience leading cross‑functional delivery teams across engineering, data, and product.
Background in managing multi‑tower engagements (strategy + delivery + support).
Strong understanding of digital transformation trends, enterprise architecture, and organizational change.
MBA or equivalent business‑focused advanced degree.
