Production Control Manager

Job Title: Production Control Manager
Location: Shelby, NC (Onsite)

Purchasing
Issue purchase orders from the following sources:
WOBOM
Shortages
Prototype support
Expediate open purchase orders to confirm timing of parts coming in
Negotiate pricing on major components (steel, tires, run flats, glass, Stealth etc
Dual source strategy on key components when possible
Material and purchase item due dates based on identified production schedule

Production Control
Print and release work orders to shop floor
Piece part
Weldments
Paint
Assembly
Develop/maintain master production schedule
Close out workorders if open after production has moved to next lot
Issue Stop work orders
Monitor status of workorders through the manufacturing process

Materials / Inventory
Kitting
Maintain inventory on fabrication and Integration lines
Track shortages and work with Purchasing and Fabrication to address/eliminate
Maintain Inventory levels in Mietrak
Establish inventory locations
Move material/inventory around facilities

Shipping / Receiving
Confirm parts received part numbers and quantities match Purchase orders
Receive parts in Mietrak
Ship parts as required
Manage truck pickup and deliveries

Manufacturing Engineering
Process Engineering Releases (templates, tooling, fixturing, testing, etc)
Work with engineering to assure parts our designed for manufacturability
Create routings in Mietraks
Make/Buy decision
