Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AV Service Technician to support enterprise-level audiovisual systems across multiple customer sites. This role is ideal for senior-level AV professionals with strong installation, service, and troubleshooting backgrounds who want to step into a customer-facing service position. Candidates must have deep hands-on experience with Crestron and AMX systems, strong diagnostic capabilities, and the ability to support complex AV systems in professional environments.
What You'll Do
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on Crestron DM/NVX and AMX control systems
Service complex audiovisual systems in conference rooms, boardrooms, and training spaces
Support Cisco, POLY, and Logitech video conferencing platforms
Diagnose and resolve issues with Biamp, QSC, and other audio DSP systems
Work with AVoIP systems and AV data across LAN/WAN/internet
Support projection systems, displays, video walls, and digital signage
Conduct preventative maintenance and system evaluations
Perform site surveys related to service agreements and system upgrades
Reverse-engineer legacy AV systems and provide documentation
Commission and debug newly built AV systems
Research and specify replacement equipment as needed
Write service reports, system documentation, and site surveys
Manage multiple service requests and customer needs simultaneously
Mentor junior or intermediate technicians when needed
What You Bring
7-8+ years of AV integration and/or AV field service experience
Hands-on installation and servicing experience with Crestron and AMX systems
Ability to reverse engineer and troubleshoot legacy AV systems
Experience commissioning and debugging new AV builds
Strong troubleshooting experience using a multimeter and related tools
Familiarity with Extron, Biamp, QSC, Cisco, Poly, Logitech, and major video wall technologies
Intermediate to advanced AV networking skills
Ability to crimp, solder, and terminate low-voltage cables
Strong understanding of signal flow and low-voltage electrical concepts
Excellent customer-facing communication and professionalism
Nice to Have
Experience with QSYS, Crestron, BiAmp, or AMX programming or service
CTS certification
Top Secret DoD clearance

This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
