What will your day look like?
As a Software Engineer, you will:
Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications supporting critical business systems.
Take ownership of features from requirements through delivery, working closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Develop and maintain backend systems with a strong focus on Oracle PL/SQL (approximately 70% of the role).
Support frontend development using Oracle APEX and web technologies (approximately 30%).
Build and maintain APIs and integrations across internal and vendor-supported systems.
Contribute to system architecture, database design, and performance optimization efforts.
Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and network-related issues, escalating when appropriate.
Participate in deployments, automation efforts, and DevOps-related workflows.
Collaborate in Agile team environments, including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will be a good fit for the Software Engineer role if you have:
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong hands-on expertise with Oracle PL/SQL (required)
Recent experience with Oracle APEX and database-driven applications
Experience with at least one additional programming language (Java, C#, Python, etc.)
Working knowledge of JavaScript and modern web development concepts
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and supporting system integrations
Familiarity with version control tools (Git, SVN) and collaborative development workflows
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on technical tasks
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
