Product Analyst

Description
This person will be the first line of defense for reported production issues. They'll investigate whether an issue is a true production defect, user errors, expected behavior (working as designed) or enhancement request or new functionality. They will help to qualify the issues and then work with a group of three consultants that are already there to make sure that those tickets are logged correctly that they're brought to the product owners so that they can be prioritized for execution. This person will work closely with a Product Owner, serve as a liaison between the customer care and development teams, and validate production issues.
This person will review and look up user sessions, analytics, behavior patterns then validate whether an issue is real, if the issue can be reproduced, or if the issue is isolated or systemic. This candidate will be responsible for validating whether reported issues are real and reproducible. The Director expects this person to ask questions, validate assumptions, and confirm intent - not operate independently at first.

This person will work with 3 existing consultants/contractors to ensure tickets are logged correctly, issues are clearly documented, and proper context is provided before escalation. They will act as a quality filter before issues reach Product Owners.
Top skills
2-4 years experience as a junior BA, Product Analyst, or Product Owner type role
Early in their product journey (Limited formal product experience but strong interest in growing into product)
Someone who wants to "get their feet wet" before stepping into a PM role. Can and willing to be coached
Curious about product but not ready to be a Product Manager
Comfortable leaning heavily on Product team for education and direction
Strong Critical Thinking skills
Diligent - Adhere to a playbook and not deviate from the playbook. (Task doer)
Great communication skills

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
