Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented AEGIS Based Defense Aegis System Equipped Vessel Senior Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will you will be part of a talented and mission oriented professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers and Contract staff who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get missile defense capability out to the Fleet.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Minimum of three years supporting new construction shipbuilding programs, with proven project management experience.
  • Strong understanding of USN ship installation requirements and processes.
  • The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of engineering documentation (requirements, design modifications, etc.) and support vessel construction, commissioning, testing, and final handover.
  • Prepare and present platform product status updates, reports, and technical briefings to stakeholders and Foreign Military Sale (FMS) customer.
  • Rapidly assess the scope of construction-impacting technical issues and expedite communication (data and information) of the issue appropriate cognizant SME and program office representative to drive resolution.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate the scope, status, and potential impact of the technical issue to ensure construction schedule impacts are understood by the MDA and Japan shipbuilder teams.
  • Identify areas that slow down or do not support acceleration of approvals of technical issues and resolutions.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • ship with Active Secret Clearance
  • Master's Degree STEM
  • 12+ years of experience
  • Mastery of MS Office suite and familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence or Teams
  • Aegis Weapon System Experience

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Prior experience with Weapons Systems Deployment
  • Experience with Missile Systems Engineering
  • Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.

Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $134,100.00 - $241,400.00
