Workday Quality Engineer Lead

Job Title: Workday Quality Engineer Lead (QE)

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite 3 days/week)
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Experience: 8 – 10 years

Note: Prior Apple experience is mandatory.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Workday Quality Engineer Lead (QE) with strong expertise in Workday HCM and Workday Integrations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing, along with hands-on experience across Workday core HR modules and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

·        Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for Workday HCM modules including Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, and Recruiting

·        Conduct integration testing for inbound and outbound interfaces using EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and web services (SOAP, REST, XML)

·        Design and execute business process test scenarios for Hire, Job Change, Transfer, Promotion, and Termination workflows

·        Configure and validate Workday reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite Reports)

·        Perform performance and load testing using tools like LoadRunner to ensure application scalability

·        Configure and validate Workday security roles and access controls ensuring compliance and segregation of duties

·        Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Workday HCM and integrations, including troubleshooting and enhancements

·        Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and documentation for all QA activities

·        Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business requirements and successful delivery

Required Skills & Qualifications

·        7+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in Workday HCM and Workday Integrations

·        Strong expertise in Workday modules: Core HR, Payroll, Compensation, Talent Management, Benefits

·        Hands-on experience with EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and third-party integrations

·        Proficiency in Workday Report Writer, Report Designer, and custom report development

·        Strong knowledge of Agile and SDLC methodologies

·        Experience in manual and automated testing, including UAT and system integration testing

·        Ability to troubleshoot Workday issues, ensuring data integrity and system performance

Preferred / Desirable Skills

Experience with Workday HCM Core Functional and Workday Payroll

Exposure to enterprise-level Workday implementations and enhancements
