Summary

As a Sr. Systems Engineer with MTSI you will will provide advisory and assistance services (A&AS) for technical systems engineering and programmatic support to include: Space, Ground, Acquisitions, Operations and Sustainment. Assist with oversight and management of existing space systems programs, initiate new contract actions where required. Provide systems engineering support, systems analysis and reporting. This position

will be located in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
  • Plan and execute operational and developmental test & evaluation efforts, ensuring objectives are met and results align with program goals.
  • Collaborate with external entities and participate in large-scale exercises to validate system performance and interoperability.
  • Experience in management or technical leadership role in a government program office or government program office-facing position
  • Experience with rapid prototyping.
  • Large-scale campaign analysis using advanced Modeling & Simulation techniques
  • Experience with integrated air, space and cyberspace capabilities.
  • Experience with ACAT I level acquisition programs.
  • Provide space system acquisition subject matter expertise, to include support of day-to-day program execution to include oversight of existing space systems acquisitions, initiating new contractual actions.
  • Provide expertise in the execution of existing space systems programs and the development of new acquisition contracts.
  • Provide support to planning, organizing and managing critical aspects of the development, production, and/or deployment of space systems and equipment.
  • Provide support to various program actions and activities to include meeting attendance, contractor performance tracking, milestone planning, briefing preparation, staff coordination, acquisition risk management, and decision document preparation.
  • Provide support in the development of pre ad post contract award documentation activities including request for development of request for proposals (RFPs), Statements of Objectives (SOO), performance work statements (PWS), and Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Provide space systems engineering support including:
  • Assistance in the integration of space systems, configuration management and interface control.
  • Technical assessments and recommendations to deviations that arise across interface boundaries, and analysis and reporting of these efforts.

Required Qualifications:
  • 20+ years of DOD experience developing RF systems.
  • Extensive acquisition and contract management experience, specifically monitoring program execution and integration of complex programs and systems
  • Experience developing, reviewing and coordinating acquisition documentation such as Statement of Work, Request for Proposal, and Technical Evaluations
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, be capable of developing briefings and reports accurately summarizing program performance and addressing key issues for senior DAF and OSD leadership, and other DoD offices.

Desired:
  • Space and policy experience
  • Relevant experience in mission integration, operations analysis and support, logistics, maintenance, personnel support and government program office support
  • Prior experience in spectrum certification, frequency allocation and coordination.

Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science, Engineering (MA/MS/ME) required
  • Masters Degree in Arts, Science, Engineering (MA/MS/ME) desired

Clearance Requirements:
  • Top Secret, SCI Eligible; SAP experience within last 5 years or SCI in lieu of.
