About the OpportunityJoin our team as an Ellucian Smart Plan Technical Consultant, where you'll have the chance to make a significant impact in helping higher education institutions streamline and enhance their academic advising processes. Your analytical skills and deep understanding of degree audit software will be crucial as you guide our clients through the successful implementation of the Ellucian Smart Plan, Credential Discovery and Transfer solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, configuring advising rules and providing proactive support to help institutions achieve their goals efficiently. Be part of a collaborative team that's dedicated to transforming education and shaping student success.
Where You Will Make an Impact- Solution Configuration and Implementation: Lead the setup and configuration of Ellucian Smart Plan for new clients. Design and refine advising rules, facilitate data migration, and ensure seamless integration of data from Banner or Colleague, maintaining data integrity.
- Client Engagement and Support: Conduct interviews to understand client advising needs, customize rules accordingly, troubleshoot issues in collaboration with developers and QA teams, and facilitate client meetings to present Ellucian Smart Plan features.
- Technical Skills and Data Management: Write queries using Java Query Language and SQL for data extraction and analysis. Work with Linux shell for log reading and service management. Follow proper issue isolation and testing methodologies.
- Team Collaboration and Coordination: Define task scope and success criteria, create task reporting templates, and coordinate cross-team tasks effectively using platforms like Confluence.
What You Will Bring- 2-4 year of experience using Java, Python or SQL for Data extraction
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while providing real-time client support.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet inflexible deadlines.
- Capable of working independently with minimal direction.
