About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced
Senior Aeronautical Engineer to support advanced aerospace development programs focused on next-generation aircraft and weapon system platforms. This role will be responsible for airframe structure design, system integration, and multidisciplinary engineering collaboration across aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, controls, electronics, and manufacturing organizations.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in metallic and composite airframe design, structural analysis, and CATIA-based product development within a highly technical aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead airframe structure design and integration activities for advanced aerospace platforms.
- Support multidisciplinary design synthesis across aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, thermodynamics, controls, electronics, and actuation systems.
- Perform and support structural design, analysis, and system trade studies to optimize performance, manufacturability, and cost.
- Develop 3D models, engineering drawings, and product definitions using CATIA V5 and/or 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX).
- Coordinate with manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, quality, MRB, suppliers, and production operations teams.
- Support design reviews, technical presentations, and customer briefings.
- Conduct and review hand stress calculations and structural assessments.
- Interface with suppliers, internal customers, and external stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in airframe structural design and analysis.
- 10+ years of experience working with metallic and/or composite aircraft structures.
- 10+ years of experience using CATIA V5 and/or 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX).
- Experience supporting aerospace product development and integration activities.
- Strong understanding of aircraft structures, design methodologies, and engineering documentation.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Experience supporting MRB activities and production issue resolution.
- Experience interacting with suppliers, manufacturing, and production operations teams.
- Experience performing hand stress analysis.
- Experience with hypersonic systems, boost-glide vehicles, or advanced aerospace platforms.
- Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
