Role Overview
We are seeking a researcher for a design research team to help drive cultural and innovation research workstreams. This role involves situating emerging technologies within a deep understanding of human needs and cultural trends to identify opportunities for device and service innovation over the next 3-5 years.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze primary qualitative and quantitative research data to produce clear insights and recommendations.
- Craft visually compelling presentations using Figma, other visual design programs, or AI platforms.
- Socialize and activate research findings within the organization through presentations, workshops, and creative artifacts.
- Collaborate with product and design partners to translate long-term insights into near-term experiences.
- Work with research partners to identify opportunities for new research questions and topics.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 7+ years in the field of research, with a focus on early, generative design research that informs long-term business strategy, ideally in the digital products and services industry. Experience translating insights via design principles, strategic frameworks, and immersion workshops is required.
Technical Skills: A working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods, with expertise in ethnographic, semiotic, co-design, and design research methods. A portfolio that illustrates how your research has informed strategic decision-making for innovation initiatives is required.
Other: Ability to travel internationally to conduct in-context, in-person research as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong design acumen and comfort working with AI and other design tools to create research outputs.
- Experience with emerging technologies such as AI or XR and multimodal device interaction.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay range for this position is $69.00/hr to $79.00/hr. A comprehensive benefits package is available for eligible employees.
