Position: Informatica Consultant
Location: Austin, TX (Remote within TX)
Duration: 4 months Contract with possibility to extension
Job Description:
Responsible for implementing and maintaining Informatica Data Governance solutions including metadata management, data quality rules, lineage, and stewardship workflows while partnering with data stewards, analysts, and business teams to define and enforce governance standards. Develops automated data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes and integrates Snowflake with Informatica and other Cloud platforms. Monitors data quality, performance, and reliability across pipelines, contributes to architectural decisions and best practice documentation, and resolves data issues to ensure accuracy, consistency, and security. Provides technical guidance and recommendations related to report development.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications:
5+ - Required - Strong experience with Informatica Data Governance tools (e.g., Axon, EDC, IDQ).
2+ - Required - Experience with Informatica Cloud (IICS).
5+ - Required - Experience with API integrations and workflow automation.
5+ - Required - Skill with Microsoft Office tools, particularly with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint
3+ - Required - Understanding of cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar).
3+ - Required - Expert of data modeling, metadata management, and data lineage.
5+ - Required - Knowledge of enterprise information management processes and methodologies, relational database management systems, and metadata management
2+ - Preferred - Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations (PII) relevant to data management and data governance
2+ - Required - Experience in working in fast-paced and ever-changing environments; achieving project's deliverables and deadlines; exercising sound judgment in making critical decisions; analyzing complex information and developing plans to address identified issues.
2 - Required - Skill in interpersonal relationships, including the ability to work with people under pressure, negotiate among multiple parties, resolve conflicts, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with various levels of personnel.
2+ - Preferred - Experience in data focused projects, like moving from Legacy to newer systems.
- Preferred - Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in data processing, computer science, business administration, or a related field.
