Summary

Location: Los Angeles, CA ---   Remote  (Occasional onsite visits required as needed)

The QA Resource will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through effective testing practices.

The ideal candidate will have experience in both manual and automated testing, with a strong understanding of various applications, including web, Windows, Client Server, and API.

The QA Resource will contribute to the development and enhancement of our automation frameworks, execute test plans, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

The QA Resource will be responsible for communicating with end users, understanding their issues, and helping end users to create JIRA tickets, if needed.   Test the tickets once they are fixed and get them tested by the end users as part of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in a UAT environment, and then communicate all the stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

            Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand the functional aspects of applications.

            Analyze and build functional knowledge of web, Windows, Client Server, and API applications to enhance testing effectiveness.

            Review, update, and maintain automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency.

            Create and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and Ranorex.

            Identify gaps in existing automation and regression suites, adding necessary test cases to improve overall test coverage.

            Utilise TestRail for creating test plans, executing tests, and reporting results.

            Manage and track testing progress using JIRA, including ticket creation, updating, and dashboard management.

            Perform manual ticket validation and ensure that defects are properly documented and communicated.

            Write and execute SQL queries for database validation and verification.

            Participate in Agile methodology practices, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Qualifications:

            10 years of experience in Quality Assurance.

            Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

            Proficiency in automation testing with tools such as Selenium and Ranorex.

            Hands-on experience with TestRail and JIRA.

            Solid understanding of SQL Server databases, including writing queries and stored procedures.

            Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.

            Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

            Experience in performance testing and security testing is a plus.

            Knowledge of additional automation tools or frameworks.

            Certification in Software Testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
