Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering (QE) Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber to develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web and API applications. The ideal candidate will have experience building robust test automation solutions, executing functional and regression testing, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering or QA Automation experience
- Strong programming experience with Java
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Experience with Cucumber (BDD) and Gherkin
- Experience with TestNG or JUnit
- Strong knowledge of Page Object Model (POM) and automation framework design
- Experience with REST API Testing using REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools
- Experience with Maven or Gradle
- Experience with Git and version control
- Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools
- Strong SQL skills for database validation
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Preferred Skills
- Playwright or Cypress
- Selenium Grid or BrowserStack
- Docker
- AWS or Azure
- JMeter performance testing
- Azure DevOps or Jira
- Kafka or event-driven application testing
- Financial Services or Banking domain experience
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber.
- Create and execute automated test scripts for web and API applications.
- Develop BDD feature files and step definitions using Cucumber and Gherkin.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
- Automate REST APIs using REST Assured or equivalent frameworks.
- Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins or other CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform cross-browser and parallel execution using Selenium Grid or BrowserStack.
- Validate backend data using SQL queries and database testing techniques.
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create effective test scenarios.
- Log, track, and verify defects using Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Maintain automation frameworks and improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
