About the team: This team handles deploying things from the monopreo and the mobile apps. Monorepo is node, github actions, and argo.
About the role: This role is focused on mobile release engineering and deployment automation, not mobile application development. The primary need is for someone who can own and improve the deployment process for React Native mobile applications and help establish best practices across the team. Must have both DevOps AND Mobile capabilities (NO MOBILE DEV IN THIS ROLE - just do the release/devops side)
Core Responsibilities
-Lead mobile application release processes for ReactNative applications (and maybe a few others in Apple Store/Google Play at random)
-Own deployment automation and CI/CD workflows supporting mobile applications.
-Help evaluate and potentially implement Expo Application Services (EAS) as part of the team's mobile deployment strategy.
-Partner with engineering teams to improve release reliability, speed, and developer experience.
-Provide knowledge transfer and mentorship to existing team members who have limited mobile DevOps experience.
Required Experience
Strong experience with mobile DevOps / release engineering.
Hands-on experience deploying applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Experience with mobile build, test, deployment, and release automation processes.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines.
