Salary Range: $84,000 - $129,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement firmware for manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems during production.
• Develop and maintain test fixtures for hardware validation.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers on system integration.
• Optimize embedded code for performance and resource utilization.
• Implement communication protocols for factory automation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for bare-metal and RTOS-based systems.
• Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M) and peripheral interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet).
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET).
• Demonstrated ability to debug hardware/software issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-circuit debuggers.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
• Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849).
• Proficiency in PCB design and layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad).
• Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) in a production environment.
• Experience with vision systems or robotics integration.
