Hybrid 2 days onsite / 3 remote in Englewood, CO

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role requires technical depth and collaboration across engineering and operations to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $61.00 to $71.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with developers to optimize release processes and troubleshoot deployment issues.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Oversee containerization practices using Docker, Podman, and microservices to ensure scalability and resilience.
  • Develop monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to maintain high system reliability.
  • Champion DevOps best practices including automation, security, and performance optimization.

Experience Requirements:

  • Strong development experience with the ability to write, review, or troubleshoot code in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Proven expertise deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with Amazon EMR for managed big data processing.
  • Familiarity with Apache Spark and the infrastructure and pipelines that run Spark workloads.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts, workflows, and tools such as GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions.
  • Proficiency with containerized deployments using Kubernetes, Docker, or Podman.
  • Familiarity with Databricks and prior support of data platforms.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure as code and configuration management.
  • Strong problem-solving with experience debugging distributed systems.
  • Proficiency with the Linux command line and Linux systems, including bash scripting (preferred).
  • Experience with Airflow (preferred).
  • PhD in Math or other STEM field (preferred).
