Job Details

As a Principal Structural Engineer you will contribute to the assessment, design, and delivery of building projects, supporting technical documentation, analysis, and coordination efforts. The role involves collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders and requires adaptability across different project types.

Job Responsibilities:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with extensive relevant professional experience.
  • Professional licensure required.
  • Strong track record of client relationship development, project delivery, and revenue generation.
  • Experience leading complex technical work, producing formal documentation, and supporting regulatory or compliance-driven requirements.
  • Experience successfully completing projects that generate revenue of $500k+
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including mentoring technical staff and collaborating across offices and teams.
  • Familiarity with a range of structural systems and relevant design or modeling tools.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs require.

Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of California permitting requirements - e.g., CalGreen, Title 24 energy, ADA, WUI.
  • Basic working knowledge of MEP systems.
  • Master's Degree in Structural Engineering.
  • California Structural Engineering license.
