SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented Integration Engineer to support our programs delivering Next-Generation Missile Warning software. This is a unique opportunity to join a business that provides core capabilities for National Security and Defense. Our teams focus on low-latency data processing for exploitation of remote sensing systems. Our ideal candidate will be a well-rounded, experienced engineer who can coordinate across multiple teams, lead a team to integrate multiple components into an orchestrated Government framework, and work well as part of a rapid pace, collaborative, small-team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for our software projects
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring infrastructure using tools such as Kubernetes and Docker
  • Troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and performance
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize code for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Implement and enforce best practices for security and compliance.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to our DevOps processes and tools
  • Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve developer experience
  • Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
  • Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • A bachelor's in computer science, engineering, physical sciences, mathematics, or similar field
  • At least 8 years professional experience designing and developing application container deployment solutions using docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes, etc.
  • At least 8 years professional experience and fluency in one or more of the following languages: C++, Python
  • At least three years professional experience building and executing DevOps or DevSecOps solutions using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) such as gitlab-ci and/or Jenkins
  • At least 8 years ongoing experience using Linux operating systems to develop software
  • Strong experience maintaining deployment environments for development, test and production
  • Detail oriented
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work full-time in-person in Boulder, CO office location
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred:
  • An advanced degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
  • Experience with OpenShift
  • Experience implementing features of C++ 14, 17, and 20 standards
  • Professional experience with Agile software development
  • A current active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher

The pay range for this position is $146,000 to $172,000 per year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
