Location: Jackson, MS – Onsite

Role Overview:
The State is seeking highly skilled Network Infrastructure Engineers to design, deploy, operate, and modernize enterprise networking environments. The role focuses heavily on Cisco ACI, data center networking, Cisco SDA, Cisco ISE, network security, identity-driven networking, and network observability across mission-critical statewide infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 15+ years of experience working with Cisco networking
  • Hands-on Cisco ACI experience in production environments
  • Strong knowledge of ACI constructs:
    • VRF
    • Bridge Domains (BD)
    • EPG
    • ESG
    • L3Out
    • Contracts
    • Fabric policies
  • Experience integrating Cisco ACI with Red Hat OpenShift VMM
  • Experience with Cilium / Isovalent
  • Strong experience with Cisco Nexus platforms and ACI-mode networking
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst platforms
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA)
    • SDA Wired Fabric
    • Fabric-Enabled Wireless
    • Underlay/overlay
    • Policy mapping
    • Authentication integration
    • Assurance operations
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE
    • TACACS+

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain Cisco NexACI data center fabrics.
  • Manage VRFs, BDs, EPGs/ESGs, L3Outs, contracts, and fabric policies.
  • Integrate ACI with OpenShift and Cilium/Isovalent environments.
  • Configure and optimize RoCEv2 for high-performance workloads.
  • Troubleshoot ACI fabric health, endpoint learning, contracts, faults, and segmentation.
  • Deploy and support Cisco Catalyst and SDA environments.
  • Administer Cisco ISE and identity-based access policies.
  • Support Zero Trust and identity-centric segmentation initiatives.
  • Deploy and manage ThousandEyes, Cyber Vision, and DNA Spaces.
  • Troubleshoot enterprise routing, switching, multicast, and security issues.
  • Design and implement Palo Alto security solutions.
  • Develop network architecture diagrams, standards, runbooks, and operational documentation.
  • Support modernization, upgrades, procurement, and statewide technology initiatives.
