Subsea Decommissioning & Removal Engineering
  • Lead engineering for subsea decommissioning including cutting, recovery, flushing,
    purging, cleaning, and remediation activities.
  • Develop engineering inputs for removal procedures, work packs, SIMOPS planning, and
    offshore execution sequences.
  • Support ROV intervention engineering, equipment specification, tooling interfaces, and
    offshore support requirements.

Interface Management & Multi-Discipline Coordination
  • Coordinate SURF interfaces with structural, marine, pipeline, construction, and
    regulatory teams.
  • Support integration of subsea work scopes into overall decommissioning plans, marine
    spread plans, and SIMOPS strategies.
  • Respond to technical queries (TQs), vendor clarifications, and offshore execution
    support needs.

Documentation, Reporting & Regulatory Compliance
  • Prepare subsea engineering deliverables including basis of design, calculations,
    drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Ensure subsea documentation aligns with Equinor governing documents and meets all
    U.S. regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits, technical assurance reviews, and close-out documentation for subsea
    decommissioning activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in subsea, mechanical, structural, ocean, or petroleum engineering
    (advanced degree preferred).
  • Subsea/SURF engineering experience in offshore energy, decommissioning,
    or major subsea projects.
  • Strong proficiency with subsea engineering tools (e.g., OrcaFlex, Flexcom, PipeLay,
    SAGE).
  • Experience with subsea decommissioning, removal engineering, ROV operations, and
    regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-discipline coordination skills.
