Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced COBOL Developer to join our remote development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and developing applications running on mainframe systems. You will work with legacy systems, ensure business-critical applications remain stable, and support modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using COBOL.
- Work with mainframe environments such as IBM z/OS.
- Develop and modify batch and online programs.
- Work with databases such as IBM DB2 and IMS.
- Develop transaction-based applications using CICS.
- Write and maintain JCL (Job Control Language) scripts.
- Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing legacy systems.
- Participate in system integration and migration projects.
- Ensure compliance with company coding standards and security policies.
- Collaborate with QA teams for testing and production deployment.
- Provide documentation and technical support for production systems.
Required Skills
- Strong programming experience in COBOL

- Experience with batch processing and transaction processing
