We are looking for an experienced Director of Information Security to join the team of our exceptional client. This role is responsible for building, leading, and evolving the organization's information security function while establishing a comprehensive security strategy that protects business operations, applications, infrastructure, and data assets.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a security professional who can balance strategic vision with tactical execution. The successful candidate will oversee security operations, compliance initiatives, incident response, vulnerability management, and application security programs while partnering closely with business and technology leaders across the organization.

What will your day look like?

As the Director of Information Security, you will:

• Develop and execute the organization's information security strategy, roadmap, and governance framework

• Establish and mature security programs across corporate IT, infrastructure, cloud environments, and enterprise applications

• Manage relationships with external security service providers and security partners

• Oversee security monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and remediation activities

• Lead vulnerability management and risk reduction initiatives across infrastructure and applications

• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and operational procedures

• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, operations, compliance, and business teams to strengthen the organization's security posture

• Drive application security initiatives, including secure development practices, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and threat modeling

• Lead security incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, recovery, and post-incident analysis

• Oversee security awareness and training programs

• Develop and report security metrics, KPIs, and risk indicators to executive leadership

• Coordinate audit activities, evidence collection, and security assessments

• Manage security vendor relationships, contracts, performance reviews, and service delivery expectations

• Support regulatory, compliance, and governance initiatives

• Build and scale the security function as the organization grows

• Balance business objectives with security requirements to enable innovation while managing risk


You will be a good fit for this role if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience

• 10+ years of progressive experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or Security Engineering roles

• Experience developing, managing, or maturing enterprise security programs

• Strong expertise in:

• Security Operations
• Incident Response
• Vulnerability Management
• Application Security
• Infrastructure Security
• Cloud Security

• Experience managing third-party security service providers and external security partners

• Experience leading security governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives

• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, controls, and best practices

• Experience supporting audit readiness and regulatory compliance programs

• Strong understanding of secure software development practices, including:

• Secure SDLC
• Penetration Testing
• Threat Modeling
• Application Vulnerability Management

• Experience supporting cloud-native environments and cloud security architectures

• Strong vendor management, negotiation, and relationship management skills

• Experience presenting security strategy, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership

• Excellent incident management and root-cause analysis skills

• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on when needed

• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills


Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in highly regulated industries

• Experience supporting PCI-DSS, SOC 1, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks

• Experience building a security function from the ground up

• Experience managing application, infrastructure, and operational security programs simultaneously

• Familiarity with AWS security services and cloud-native security controls

• Experience collaborating with legal, risk, audit, and compliance teams

• Professional certifications such as:

• CISSP
• CISM
• CCSP
• CRISC
• Similar industry-recognized credentials

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
