Senior Payment Solutions Architect – ReactJS, Node.js & Azure

We are seeking a Hands-On Payment Solutions Architect with strong experience in payment processing systems, including SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer), and credit/debit card payments. The candidate must have strong technical expertise in ReactJS, Node.js, and Microsoft Azure, with the ability to design solutions and actively contribute to coding.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

1. Payment Architecture: Design and develop secure, scalable payment processing platforms supporting authorization, settlement, refunds, reconciliation, and transaction management.

2. SNAP & EBT Payments: Experience with SNAP/EBT transactions, benefit authorization, balance inquiries, reversals, settlement, and integration with government benefit payment systems.

3. Hands-On Development: Strong coding expertise in ReactJS, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Must actively participate in development, code reviews, and troubleshooting.

4. Azure Cloud: Architect and deploy cloud-native applications using Azure Functions, App Services, AKS, API Management, Azure SQL, and Service Bus.

5. Payment Gateway Integration: Experience integrating payment processors, gateways, and third-party payment systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and microservices.

6. Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of PCI DSS, payment tokenization, encryption, OAuth 2.0, and federal security requirements such as FISMA and NIST standards.

7. Architecture & DevOps: Expertise in microservices, event-driven architecture, high-volume transaction processing, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps.

8. Technical Leadership: Lead solution design, resolve complex technical issues, mentor developers, and ensure reliable, secure payment processing.

Preferred Experience

• Federal or state government payment systems, especially SNAP/EBT and public benefit programs.

• Integration with EBT processors, benefit eligibility systems, and government payment platforms.

• Experience modernizing legacy payment applications into Azure cloud-native solutions.

Critical Requirement: This is a hands-on technical architect role, not a management-only position. Candidates must have recent coding experience in ReactJS and Node.js, strong Azure expertise, and proven payment processing architecture experience.
