AEM Architect

Job Title: AEM Architect / Senior AEM Full-Stack Architect (Pre-Sales & Delivery)

Location: Remote

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior, hands-on AEM Architect who can operate at both technical leadership and client-facing pre-sales levels. This person will play a critical role in winning new AEM engagements, shaping technical solutions, and later leading delivery as we scale an AEM team around them.

This is not just a delivery role we need someone who is confident in consultative discussions, solution positioning, and technical storytelling with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Consulting

Partner with sales teams to support client discovery, solution workshops, and technical scoping

Translate business requirements into AEM solution architecture

Participate in RFP/RFI responses, effort estimations, and solution proposals

Conduct technical presentations and demos for prospective clients

Act as a trusted advisor to clients on Adobe Experience Manager best practices

Architecture & Technical Leadership

Design end-to-end AEM-based digital experience solutions

Define system architecture covering:

AEM Sites

AEM Assets

Integrations (APIs, third-party systems, DAM, commerce, etc.)

Cloud architecture (AEM as a Cloud Service preferred)

Establish development standards, governance, and best practices

Lead technical decision-making across frontend, backend, and integration layers

Full-Stack AEM Development

Hands-on development across:

AEM Components, Templates, Workflows

OSGi services and Sling Models

HTL (Sightly), Java, and AEM APIs

Frontend stack (HTML, CSS, JS frameworks)

Guide CI/CD, code reviews, and performance optimization

Ensure scalability, security, and maintainability of AEM solutions

Delivery & Team Leadership (Post-Sale)

Serve as the technical lead once projects are secured

Help build and mentor the broader AEM team

Oversee implementation quality and architectural integrity

Work closely with project managers and client stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years in web/digital platform development

5+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager

Strong experience with:

AEM Sites & Assets

AEM as a Cloud Service (highly preferred)

Java, Sling, OSGi, HTL

REST APIs and system integrations

Experience designing enterprise-level AEM architectures

Solid understanding of:

DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines

Cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform)

Proven experience in client-facing or consulting roles

Experience supporting pre-sales, solutioning, or technical sales cycles

Nice to Have

Adobe certifications (AEM Architect/Developer)

Experience with Adobe ecosystem tools (Analytics, Target, Campaign)

Experience with headless CMS and SPA integrations

Exposure to commerce or personalization platforms
