Summary
Compensation: $80.00 - $90.000 (W2) per hour
Description:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a small Agile team supporting the migration of enterprise applications to the cloud. This is a hands-on full-stack role with a strong focus on Java/Spring development, relational databases, and DevOps delivery in a secure, regulated environment.
You will design, build, and support scalable applications while contributing to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and production stability.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Java/Spring-based full-stack applications
- Design and optimize relational database solutions (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Support application migration to AWS (S3, EC2, ECS, API Gateway, KMS, Lambda)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and contribute to infrastructure as code initiatives
- Develop RESTful APIs and integration services
- Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and promote engineering best practices
- Support QA, UAT, and production releases, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
- Create Python or JavaScript scripts for automation and AWS Lambda functions as needed
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Strong Java and Spring Framework experience (Spring MVC/Security/Batch preferred)
- Solid SQL and relational database skills (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Experience with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; other cloud acceptable)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
- Experience developing APIs and full-stack applications
- Ability to work independently and contribute in a small team environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting cloud migration initiatives
- Experience with AWS services such as S3, EC2, ECS, API Gateway, KMS, and Lambda
- Scripting experience in Python or JavaScript
- Experience in financial services or other regulated environments
- Exposure to DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with Salesforce/Apex (nice to have)
