Summary

The Core Platform Bring-up team within Apple's CoreOS organization is looking for an extraordinary software engineer to work on state-of-the art technology, debug, and bring-up of next generation Apple devices. This group is committed to building fully integrated operating systems that combine hardware, software, and services into a single Apple experience. In this role, you will have the chance to work on many core technologies for Apple products and make a major impact in how they are developed and shipped. Your dedication to cross-disciplinary collaboration will help develop groundbreaking technologies across Apple's product line. Work with multi-functional teams to support requirements for a wide variety of Apple products. Bring-up, verification, and debug of new SoCs and hardware platforms. Develop firmware, drivers, and hardware abstraction layers. Drive product features and functional/industry specifications. Involvement in specification for hardware platforms.

A genuine passion for embedded development.\nHighly proficient in C/C++.\nKnowledge of hardware platforms & processor architectures.\nBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field.

Proven creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to deliver proven work on tight schedules.\nExcellent collaborative skills.\nExperience with JTAG and other debuggers.\nPrevious experience writing embedded device drivers.\nPrevious experience with platform bring-up or porting of operating systems.\nPrevious exposure to hardware and processor simulation.
