Client is seeking a highly skilled Architect / Presales professional to design, articulate, and position modern data and analytics solutions for prospective customers. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical architecture expertise with customer-facing presales experience, working closely with sales teams to understand client needs, propose scalable solutions, and support deal closure. The technology stack remains focused on AWS cloud services, Snowflake, and dbt.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a solution architect and presales technical advisor for data and analytics initiatives, supporting sales cycles from discovery through solution design and proposal.
  • Engage with customers to understand business objectives, data challenges, and technical requirements, and translate them into scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectures using AWS, Snowflake, and dbt.
  • Design high-level and detailed data architectures, including cloud-native data platforms, analytics solutions, and modernization strategies.
  • Lead technical discovery workshops, architecture reviews, and solution presentations with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Develop and present solution blueprints, reference architectures, statements of work (SOWs), and technical proposals.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, delivery, and engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, differentiated, and aligned with delivery best practices.
  • Advise customers on data platform modernization, cloud migration strategies, and analytics transformation roadmaps.
  • Provide guidance on Snowflake architecture, performance optimization, security, and cost management at a solution level.
  • Support proof-of-concepts (POCs), demos, and technical validations as part of the presales process.
  • Stay current with AWS, Snowflake, and dbt capabilities, industry trends, and competitive offerings to effectively position solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in data, analytics, or cloud architecture roles, with a strong emphasis on customer-facing or presales responsibilities.
  • Proven experience designing data and analytics solutions using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Redshift, and IAM.
  • Strong expertise with Snowflake, including data architecture, warehouse design, performance optimization, and cost governance.
  • Solid experience with dbt, including data modeling concepts, transformation frameworks, and deployment approaches.
  • Strong understanding of modern data architectures, ELT patterns, and data modeling techniques.
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience supporting presales activities such as technical discovery, solution design, RFP/RFI responses, and proposal development.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices, including role-based access control and data protection.

Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty).
  • Snowflake or dbt certifications.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in consulting or professional services environments.
  • Ability to balance technical depth with business value articulation in a sales context.
