Overview

Lead Engineer s responsible for overall maintenace, safety and operation of the property while serving as the department head.

Responsibilities

Perform and oversee preventive maintenance programs.
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
Repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Coordinate room out-of-order repairs and return rooms to inventory quickly.
Ensure fire alarm systems, sprinklers, emergency lighting, and safety equipment are functioning properly.
Maintain compliance with brand standards, local codes, and OSHA requirements.
Conduct safety inspections and document corrective actions.
Maintain the parking lot, landscaping, exterior lighting, and building appearance.
Address cosmetic issues that impact guest satisfaction
Coordinate contractors for specialized repairs.
Obtain quotes and manage maintenance-related expenses.
Monitor vendor performance and completion of projects.
Train and supervise maintenance staff (if applicable).
Prioritize work orders and daily assignments.
Partner with Housekeeping and Front Desk to minimize guest impact.
Manage maintenance budgets and purchasing.
Track capital improvement needs.
Recommend equipment replacements and property upgrades
Address guest room issues.
Complete preventive maintenance tasks.
Respond to emergencies and after-hours calls when necessary.
Update maintenance logs and compliance records.

Qualifications

HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance knowledge.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Time management and prioritization.
Strong communication and guest service skills.
Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies
