Summary

Role: Systems Engineer 3 

Location: Mossville, IL (Onsite – 5 days/week)

Duration: 24 Months
 
Role Overview
This is a systems validation-focused engineering role supporting autonomy and remote-control applications. The engineer will work across software + hardware systems, validating connectivity using 5G/LTE and satellite networks.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test plans and validation strategies
  • Perform system integration, setup, and troubleshooting
  • Capture and document system requirements
  • Conduct validation & verification (V&V) activities
  • Write test procedures and document results
  • Track and manage defects/issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers
  • Support software releases and feedback cycles
Work Environment
  • 100% Onsite role
  • 80% lab/bench testing + 20% field testing
  • Field work includes drive testing & outdoor setup
  • Minimal exposure to heavy machinery (no operation required)
Must-Have Skills
  • Strong systems engineering & validation experience
  • Hands-on test plan creation & execution
  • Solid networking fundamentals (IP, routing, etc.)
  • Experience with LTE/5G connectivity
  • Linux configuration & debugging
  • Tools: Wireshark, iPerf, tcpdump
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Python / Bash scripting
  • Exposure to RF, antennas, or radio networks
  • Experience with autonomy, V2X, or remote-control systems
  • Satellite connectivity
  • Embedded systems or edge device experience
Experience Required
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in EE / CE / CS / Networking
  • Backgrounds like:
    • Systems Validation Engineer
    • Network/Connectivity Engineer
    • Systems Integration Engineer
    • Embedded Test Engineer
