Role Overview
The Cybersecurity Governance Program Manager is responsible for leading the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of the enterprise Cybersecurity Governance Program. This role serves as the central driver for coordinating and overseeing cybersecurity governance activities across multiple business units and technology organizations. You will support all Cybersecurity Governance initiatives, including security awareness programs, policy management, and roadmap development, ensuring activities remain on track and identifying risks. This is an individual contributor role with an emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and requires onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and enhance partnerships with key stakeholders to execute the Governance Program, serving as the primary subject matter expert and liaison.
- Support all Cybersecurity Governance initiatives, including security awareness programs, policy management, governance-related projects, roadmap development, and milestone tracking.
- Manage the completion, reporting, and mitigation of cybersecurity maturity assessments to evaluate program effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
- Drive the development and reporting of cybersecurity governance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare executive-level dashboards and reports to communicate program performance to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity Risk Management, IT, Legal, Privacy, and other business stakeholders to deliver governance services.
- Identify opportunities to improve cybersecurity governance programs, capabilities, and operational resilience.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- 1-2 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, IT risk management, governance, or related disciplines.
- Experience in the maritime, hospitality, or travel industry.
- Knowledge of information technology, cybersecurity, and risk management.
Skills:- PMP certification.
- Strong soft skills, including being engaging, creative, and demonstrating attention to detail.
- Knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), cybersecurity principles, and security control frameworks.
- Understanding of security concepts such as security awareness, identity and access management, vulnerability management, and data protection.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISSP, CISA, Security+, or CGRC.
- Experience with GRC platforms such as LogicGate, Archer, or ServiceNow IRM.
- Familiarity with regulatory and privacy requirements such as SOX, PCI DSS, GDPR, CCPA, or CIS.
- Knowledge of AI security and AI governance best practices.
- Experience with tools such as Hoxhunt or KnowBe4.
