New York City Hybrid, 1 day a week onsite $185,000-$210,000 base

Build the internal platform behind software that care teams use throughout the day. You'll give application engineers a self-service way to provision environments, launch services, and troubleshoot production issues, with safeguards for sensitive patient data built in from the start.

You'll own the platform from design through adoption. An early priority will be moving existing services onto a shared AWS setup. You'll work with application teams to choose what moves first, support them through cutover, and use their feedback to make the platform easier for the next team to adopt.

What you'll build

  Self-service infrastructure. Create reusable Terraform modules and service templates for ECS Fargate, managed databases, networking, and secrets so engineers can stand up environments without filing a ticket.

  A standard path to production. Build shared GitHub Actions workflows with smoke tests, deployment approvals, and rollback steps. Give teams a consistent way to monitor and troubleshoot the services they own.

  Security built into the platform. Work with security to make least-privilege access, encryption, and audit logging part of the default setup for new services.

  A practical migration path. Map service dependencies, plan phased cutovers, and write onboarding guides that help teams move existing applications onto the platform.

  Recovery you can test. Run backup restores and disaster recovery exercises, measure how long services take to recover, and use the results to improve the platform and its runbooks.

  
  

What you'll bring

You've built shared cloud infrastructure or tooling that other engineers use in production. You're hands-on with AWS, Terraform, containers, and CI/CD, and you know how to turn a recurring request from application teams into something they can do themselves.

You've supported live services through a migration or major infrastructure change and can explain the trade-offs around access, reliability, and recovery. Experience in HealthTech or with sensitive data is helpful.
