Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with Python & Playwright (ONLY W2)

Role: SDET/QA Engineer

Location: Fremont, CA - 5 days onsite per week

Duration: 6-12 months Contract+ with potential CTH

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)with 5–6 years of experience to join a fast-paced engineering team building a new internal application that will help engineering organizations streamline day-to-day operations and improve efficiency.

This is a hands-on coding role where strong software development skills are just as important as testing expertise. The ideal candidate has a passion for automation, software quality, and engineering excellence, and can thrive in an environment with both scheduled releases and rapid deployment cycles.

Required Qualifications

• 5–6 years of experience in SDET, Test Automation, or Software Quality Engineering.
• Strong hands-on programming experience with Python.
• Strong experience using Playwright for test automation.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including:
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Data Structures & Algorithms
• Design Patterns
• API Testing
• Debugging & Troubleshooting
• Test Framework Design
• Experience testing modern web applications and distributed systems.
• Excellent coding, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
