ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITES:
- Works collaboratively in a team environment; interacts with individuals at all organizational levels and clients in professional manner
- Prepares and checks concrete and structural steel designs and analyses per project specifications and applicable codes for pipe and cable tray racks
- Prepares sketches and coordinates with Designers/Drafters in the development of 3D models and 2D design drawings
- Prepares and checks technical reports and specifications
- Performs field activities, such as observing and documenting existing conditions and taking measurements in a variety of environments
- Functions as Lead Engineer, supervising designers and other engineering staff members, interfacing directly with project personnel and clients, and monitoring budgets and schedules
- Coordinates tasks with engineers, designers and administrative staff
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or MS in Civil Engineering, specializing in Structures
- 8+ years engineering experience in structural steel and concrete design of industrial facilities such as gas plants, liquid terminals, LNG facilities, chemical plants, and bulk material handling facilities
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously under time sensitive deadlines
- Detail oriented, committed to quality
- Proficient in the use of STAAD Pro or similar structural design and analysis software
- Knowledge of codes and standards relevant to structural steel and concrete design (AISC 360, ACI 318, ASCE-7, IBC, e.g.)
- Proficient in Microsoft WORD and Excel
