Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer – WebSphere to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java 17, Spring Framework 6.2+, IBM WebSphere, and IBM MQ, along with solid CI/CD, Linux, and Oracle database expertise.

This is a 100% onsite role in Scottsdale, AZ.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications using Java 17 and Spring Framework 6.2+

• Configure, deploy, and manage applications on IBM WebSphere and/or JBoss Application Server

• Implement and manage IBM MQ for messaging and system integration

• Perform CI/CD deployment activities for Java Spring Boot and Enterprise Java applications on Linux (RHEL 8.x)

• Work closely with Oracle Databases for data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning

• Administer and troubleshoot RHEL 8.x environments to ensure application stability and performance

• Manage and troubleshoot SSL/TLS, machine certificates, and evaluate Kerberos authentication where applicable

• Execute application testing using SOAP UI, Postman, and manual test scripts; contribute to test automation efforts

• Analyze and resolve issues using Splunk logs, including certificate mismatches and networking problems

• Understand and support F5 Big-IP Load Balancers, including traffic management and networking concepts

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions

• Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers

• Ensure adherence to best practices related to security, performance, and maintainability

• Track and maintain security compliance metrics

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8–12 years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Enterprise Java development

• Strong proficiency in Java 17 and Spring Framework 6.2+

• Extensive experience with IBM WebSphere and/or JBoss Application Server

• Hands-on experience with IBM MQ

• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

• Solid knowledge of Oracle Database, including performance tuning and optimization

• Experience with SOAP UI and Postman for API testing; exposure to test automation is a plus

• Strong understanding of SSL/TLS, machine certificates, and Kerberos authentication

• Experience troubleshooting environment and networking issues using logs and monitoring tools

• Proficiency with Splunk for logging and issue analysis

• Strong understanding of RHEL 8.x Linux environments

• Exposure to F5 Big-IP Load Balancers and networking concepts

• Familiarity with Windows and .NET environments is a plus

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
