Senior Workstation Engineer

Hansen Talent Group is seeking a Senior Workstation Engineer to support a large enterprise in Columbia, SC.  This role leads technical projects end-to-end, partners closely with stakeholders, and provides hands-on expertise in enterprise software deployment, automation, and systems design.  This role is partially onsite, 3 days a week.  

What You’ll Do

• Lead technical projects involving system assessment, architecture, capacity planning, implementation, documentation, and support

• Design, build, and validate secure, scalable, and interoperable systems

• Evaluate system performance and recommend enhancements to improve reliability and efficiency

• Design and implement custom integrations and enterprise-level software deployment solutions

• Lead infrastructure software deployments including new builds, upgrades, patches, and master files

• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, training plans, and disaster recovery documentation

• Proactively maintain and support workstation and server environments through onsite and remote work

• Lead technical discussions with clients and stakeholders focused on business continuity and future-state planning

• Provide advisory-level troubleshooting and mentor junior staff

• Maintain software, hardware inventories, licensing compliance, and configuration documentation

What you'll do:

• Experience supporting workstations, servers, and/or applications

• Advanced knowledge of Windows 11 OS architecture, application lifecycle, registry, services, and security

• Experience with enterprise deployment platforms (Intune, MECM, HCL BigFix)

• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell (VBScript or Python a plus)

• Experience with software packaging tools and deployment automation

• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with Windows 11, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager), HCL BigFix, PowerShell
