Location: Home, Maryland (Remote)
Role Overview
The Trainer and Instructional Designer is responsible for analyzing learning needs, designing and developing training materials, and delivering engaging learning experiences that build capability across the program. This role combines expertise in instructional design, adult learning methodologies, and facilitation skills to improve performance and support strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze learning needs to inform training design and development.
- Design and develop comprehensive training materials and learning experiences.
- Deliver engaging training sessions to various audiences.
- Create clear, visually appealing, and instructionally sound materials.
- Manage training projects, including communication and stakeholder management.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5 years of related experience designing and delivering training in corporate, technical, or government environments.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with instructional design software such as Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia, or Vyond. Strong facilitation and presentation skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree in a learning-related field.
- Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) administration or learning data analytics.
- Exposure to Agile development or human-centered design principles.
- Industry-specific training experience in areas like IT, cybersecurity, healthcare, or operations.
