Job Description

As a Vice President, Human-AI Experience Design in JPMorganChase Private Bank (Transformative AI team), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience across our next-generation agentic platforms for clients and advisors. Leveraging your deep knowledge of experience design, human-AI interaction, and research practices, you will lead strategically important initiatives and develop innovative solutions that align with business requirements, responsible AI principles, and user needs. As a subject matter expert, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and research to translate advanced AI capabilities into intuitive, trustworthy, and effective workflows. You will help establish scalable interaction patterns and standards that make AI guidance clear, usable, and safe. Your expertise in experience strategy and inclusive design will ensure our offerings are accessible and user-friendly, enhancing the overall customer experience.

Job responsibilities
  • Define end-to-end Human-AI experiences across client and advisor journeys
  • Shape interaction patterns-how AI asks, explains, recommends, and escalates within workflows
  • Lead user research and validation to ensure clarity, usability, comprehension, and trust
  • Embed responsible AI principles (fairness, safety, transparency) into user-facing experiences
  • Diagram service flows and key touchpoints; design wireframes and prototype Human-AI interactions
  • Prototype, test, and iterate on new interaction concepts for agentic and AI-driven systems
  • Partner cross-functionally to translate AI capabilities into usable product experiences
  • Establish scalable patterns, guidelines, and standards for Human-AI experiences across products

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in user experience design, service design, or similar roles (including Human-AI interaction-focused work)
  • Deep expertise in experience design with 3+ years in AI-focused product design or human-AI interaction roles
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML fundamentals and user behavior in AI-assisted workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to create visual representations of user journeys, such as storyboarding, wireframes, prototypes, and service blueprints
  • Experience applying responsible AI concepts (fairness, transparency, safety) in user-facing design decisions
  • Demonstrated experience in inclusive design and accessibility guidelines, incorporating diverse perspectives and abilities into design solutions
  • Ability to simplify complex AI systems into intuitive, trustworthy, and effective user experiences

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience designing for agentic or AI-driven systems (e.g., multi-step agents, tool-using assistants, workflow automation)
  • Familiarity with AI evaluation methods, auditing, or red-teaming in support of trustworthy experiences
  • Strong intuition for trust, explainability, escalation design, and user comprehension in high-stakes contexts
  • Design leadership and mentorship experience (formal or informal)
