What You'll Do

We are seeking a strong candidate with experience and passion for marketing to fill a Senior Analyst - BCG Vantage role within the Marketing, Sales, and Pricing Practice, focused on marketing strategy and transformation across B2B and B2C client contexts. As a Senior Analyst - BCG Vantage within the MSP Practice Area, you will partner with BCG project teams and contribute directly to BCG client work. The position will work closely with BCG client teams to run diagnostics as well as to design, monitor, and optimize large marketing transformation programs. You will also help assess client capabilities based on both quantitative and qualitative observations, and work with BCG client teams to develop capabilities that drive client performance, including dashboarding and data visualization.

The Senior Analyst - BCG Vantage will leverage their analytics and marketing toolkit and his/her/their expertise to support project proposals (e.g. outside-in observations, competitive benchmarking, survey fielding, etc.) as well as client case work. You will also contribute to business development efforts and support the Marketing topic by creating and maintaining best-in-class intellectual property and knowledge that supports and advances the Marketing topic and sub-topics.

While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.

Successful candidates will possess strong marketing and analytical capabilities, strong collaborative and execution capabilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills both to expert and non-expert audiences, a practical and flexible mindset, and high attention to detail and work quality. YOU'RE GOOD AT
Solving complex client problems through relevant analytical approaches and customized solutions
Assessing client marketing capabilities and identifying opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness
Analyzing marketing performance and translating data into actionable insights
Working closely with clients to understand strategic objectives and develop marketing strategies, programs, and initiatives that improve customer outcomes and business performance
Applying quantitative and qualitative approaches to solve complex marketing problems
Interfacing with BCG case and client teams and reporting on results, in a credible and confident way
Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtually, proficient in agile ways of working
Flexibility and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas
Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity

What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred, with demonstrated high academic achievement. Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Analytics, or another relevant field preferred.
3-5 years of industry and/or 2-3+ years of consulting professional work experience
Previous experience at a consulting firm and/or marketing agency strongly preferred
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel required; experience with marketing analytics, customer data, digital marketing, CRM, marketing technology, or related tools and platforms is a plus
30-50% travel expected on average, with fluctuations based on client engagements
Flexible, self-motivated, and proactive out-of-the-box and critical thinker
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fluent written and spoken English
Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities

The Senior Analyst - BCG Vantage role will be an integral part of BCG's MSP Practice and also directly integrate into case teams on client engagements. Like all BCG case teams, you will work with a diverse set of functions across BCG to drive innovative thinking and outcomes for BCG and our clients. The BCG Vantage team is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. BCG Vantage members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.

BCG Vantage team members are staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. BVantage team members also support the PA's business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.

In the US, we have a compensation transparency approach.

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.

  • The base salary range for this role in Chicago is $115, 700 -$119, 500.

This is an estimated range, however, specific base salaries within the range depend on various factors such as experience and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.

In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a bonus of up to 24% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
