Job Title: Document Support Specialist

About The Role
The documents platform team is responsible for providing the tools and expertise for creation, storage and analysis of insurance documents to enable Client to turn raw data into actionable intelligence. Support Engineers on this team work closely with software engineers, product managers and production underwriters in building documents for our customers.
As a support engineer, you will develop and support new templates, as well as maintain existing document templates. You will have the opportunity to write production ready code or utilize scripts with the guidance of our software engineers to simplify or improve writing templates. In addition to day to day impact, this role provides a flexible growth pathway toward software engineering or project management: deepen your technical skills while developing project leadership and pursue the track you prefer.
Responsibilities
Create, develop and test templates for various documents/endorsements across all our insurance lines.Supporting document-related processes within the Core Platform Team
Working extensively with Microsoft Word, including templating and document generation related to policy documents.Maintain all document templates across different development environments
Improve the templating tools and processes in partnership with Software Engineers. Adapting to an influx of templating needs as the company scales from SMB to Enterprise and expands internationally
Interface with product managers and business users to develop and create templates. Collaborating with Account Management(Broker),Email Platform and Authentication teams.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong passion for problem solving. Some coding experience in Python for automating tasks within Word documents(not mandatory, but a plus), Go, or similar languages.
Experience in any scripting language.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, particularly in document management and support
Ability to collaborate with your team and cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Excited to learn and grow skills. Problem-solving skills and the ability to coach others on document-related technical tasks
