A Senior Enterprise Architect opportunity is open with a global professional services organization undertaking a ground-up modernization of its enterprise technology environment.
You'll act as the senior technical owner for an Azure-centric hybrid, multi-cloud platform, partnering with an implementation provider to take the architecture from initial design through the first production workloads and eventual transition to internal operations. This is a true greenfield mandate: key decisions around Kubernetes, CI/CD, self-service infrastructure, and broader platform standards remain open, giving you significant influence over both architecture and engineering direction.
As the platform matures, your scope will expand into enterprise architecture governance, technology standards, roadmaps, and long-term platform strategy. The role is suited to an architect who can move comfortably between hands-on cloud design and executive-level technical leadership.
Required Skills & Experience - Proven experience designing and delivering greenfield Microsoft Azure environments end to end, including hybrid connectivity, cloud architecture patterns, and enterprise-scale platform foundations.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code and platform engineering expertise using Terraform, GitOps practices, and self-service infrastructure patterns that enable development teams to provision and manage cloud resources consistently.
- Senior-level enterprise architecture experience establishing governance and technical standards, translating technology strategy into actionable roadmaps, and influencing engineering, business, and executive stakeholders without direct authority.
Desired Skills & Experience - Experience evaluating, designing, or operating Kubernetes-based platforms within enterprise cloud environments.
- Advanced knowledge of CI/CD architecture and the ability to define standardized delivery pipelines, engineering practices, and automation patterns across multiple development teams.
- Experience leading major cloud transformation programs alongside systems integrators or implementation partners, including ownership of architecture decisions, knowledge transfer, and transition into internally managed operations.
Daily Responsibilities - Hands-On Engineering: 65%
- Team Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work: 35%
