Role: Cloud Security Engineer Findings Management (Wiz)
Location: Charlotte, NC / Chandler, AZ / Irving, TX (Onsite - 3days/week)
Duration: 4 - 6 months contract

Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Security Engineer with strong expertise in Wiz (or similar CNAPP platforms) and cloud security engineering. This role focuses on Findings Management, alert operationalization, automation, and remediation support across Azure and Google Cloud environments.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, automation-driven, and experienced in analyzing and remediating cloud security alerts at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on engineering work within Wiz, focused on findings and alert management
• Define, tune, and operationalize security alerts in Wiz
• Design and build automation scripts (Python, Bash, Terraform, PowerShell) to streamline processes
• Develop Python pipelines to ingest, enrich, merge, and analyze security datasets
• Build dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
• Engineer integrations between cloud security platforms and enterprise tools (e.g., Splunk Cloud, ServiceNow)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive remediation and "burn down" of security findings
• Support Application Lifecycle Security initiatives and vulnerability remediation efforts
• Contribute to automation of alert triage and remediation workflows
• Share subject matter expertise and best practices within the team

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
• 1+ year of experience with Wiz or similar CNAPP tools
• 1+ year of experience in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Terraform, PowerShell)
• Experience integrating cloud security tools with enterprise platforms (Splunk Cloud, ServiceNow)
• Experience building dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
• Strong understanding of IAM, cloud hardening, and information protection concepts
• Experience working in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) environments
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cloud migrations or cloud security operations
• Experience with tools such as Microsoft Defender, Google Security Command Center, Aqua Security, Microsoft Sentinel, or HashiCorp Sentinel
• Knowledge of CSA, CIS, NIST, and other cloud security frameworks
• Experience in regulated industries (Finance, Healthcare, Utilities, Government)
• Familiarity with MongoDB or similar databases
• Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, GIAC, CCSK)
• Azure or Google Cloud Platform certifications
• Kubernetes Security (CKS) certification
