Job Description:
Senior Project/Program Manager (Software Development/Agile Delivery)

Duration: Long-term contract

Onsite Requirement: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote

Location: Greenwood Village, CO

Compensation: 70-85/hr

We are seeking a highly autonomous Senior Project/Program Manager to lead a high-visibility software application initiative with significant executive sponsorship and long-term strategic impact.

This role will serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and an offshore development team, driving delivery from requirements gathering through production enhancements. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable facilitating executive discussions, refining business requirements, creating sprint-ready Jira stories, and partnering with developers to drive execution.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
  • Gather, document, refine, and prioritize business requirements
  • Translate requirements into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint-ready Jira tickets
  • Manage roadmap planning, sprint execution, and feature delivery timelines
  • Drive stakeholder communication and status reporting
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and opportunities to improve delivery effectiveness
  • Partner with offshore development resources to ensure successful execution
  • Utilize AI-powered development and productivity tools to accelerate requirements gathering and delivery processes
Required Experience
  • 7+ years of Program Management, Technical Program Management, or Project Management experience
  • Strong Scrum and Agile delivery experience
  • Proven experience managing software application development projects
  • Experience supporting web applications, user workflows, UI-focused initiatives, or customer-facing software products
  • Expertise with Jira and Confluence
  • Strong stakeholder management and requirements elicitation and documentation skills
  • Experience working directly with development teams and understanding software delivery processes
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to support requirements gathering and delivery activities
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development environments
  • Experience prompting tools such as Claude, Codex, AWS Kiro, or similar AI coding platforms
  • Experience communicating technical requirements to engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, integrations, and system workflows
