Cybersecurity EngineerPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to help protect enterprise systems, networks, applications, and data from evolving security threats. This person will work across security operations, infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams to identify vulnerabilities, strengthen security controls, investigate security events, and improve the overall security posture of the organization.
The ideal candidate has hands on experience with enterprise security technologies, understands modern attack methods, and can balance security requirements with practical business and technical needs.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, maintain, and improve cybersecurity controls across enterprise environments.
- Monitor and investigate security events, alerts, vulnerabilities, and potential threats.
- Perform vulnerability assessment, remediation, and risk analysis.
- Support incident response, investigation, containment, remediation, and post incident analysis.
- Implement and maintain security technologies including SIEM, endpoint security, vulnerability management, firewalls, identity and access management, and related platforms.
- Partner with infrastructure, network, cloud, application, and DevOps teams to incorporate security into technical environments.
- Review system configurations and architectures for potential security risks.
- Support cloud security across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Assist with security policies, standards, procedures, documentation, and technical controls.
- Participate in security assessments, audits, penetration testing activities, and remediation efforts.
- Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities, attack techniques, and security technologies.
- Automate security processes and repetitive tasks where appropriate.
Qualifications- Professional experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, infrastructure security, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Strong understanding of network security, operating systems, authentication, encryption, vulnerability management, and security architecture.
- Experience with security monitoring and SIEM technologies.
- Experience with endpoint detection and response technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts and environments.
- Understanding of common security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, or similar.
- Understanding of common attack techniques and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
- Experience investigating and responding to security incidents.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, CrowdStrike, Defender, Palo Alto, Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or comparable technologies.
- Experience scripting or automating tasks with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, GIAC, CCSP, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in enterprise, SaaS, cloud based, or highly regulated environments.
