Overview

The engineer will be part of an Agile team designing, developing, supporting, enhancing, and implementing solutions for the Enterprise Content Management organization. Responsible for delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals while ensuring software meets functional, non-functional, security, and compliance standards. This individual contributor role focuses on reliable infrastructure support, automation, maintainability, and CI/CD integration.

Experience Required: 7+ Years (minimum 5+ years relevant hands-on experience)

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Strong Linux administration and command-line expertise.

Hands-on Shell scripting (Bourne shell / Bash).

Configuration management and automation using Ansible.

Protocol and security administration: SFTP, SSH Keys, and TLS Certificate management.

Monitoring, log analysis, and APM tools: Splunk and Dynatrace.

Messaging platforms: MQ / ActiveMQ (AMQ).

Database and web service knowledge: Oracle stored procedures, SOAP, and RESTful services.

Infrastructure operations: Capacity management and performance troubleshooting.

Delivery tools and methodologies: Jira and Agile frameworks.

Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day Linux system administration, environment maintenance, incident troubleshooting, and operational support.

Design, build, and maintain automation routines, shell scripts, and Ansible playbooks for operational efficiency.

Oversee secure access and certificates, including SSH keys, SFTP transfers, and TLS lifecycle management.

Monitor systems and applications using Splunk and Dynatrace to resolve performance issues, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints.

Support enterprise messaging systems (MQ/AMQ) and integrations with backend Oracle databases and REST/SOAP APIs.

Participate in Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sizing/estimation, sprint delivery) and track deliverables in Jira.

Design, code, unit test, and deploy software and infrastructure components aligned with architecture integrity and security compliance.

Set up, manage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate manual deployment and release processes.

Conduct spikes/proof of concepts (PoCs) to mitigate delivery risks or validate architectural patterns.

Design and maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, and performance).

Mentor junior software engineers and coach team members on CI/CD practices and automation toolchains.
