About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced microwave electronic subsystems. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, multidisciplinary engineering challenges spanning RF/microwave, analog/digital, and mechanical/thermal domains.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the full product lifecycle-from concept and design through testing and production-using modern engineering tools and state-of-the-art manufacturing and test facilities.
Responsibilities- Design and develop electronic packaging solutions for microwave components and subsystems
- Perform mechanical design, analysis, and documentation for circuit card assemblies (CCA), printed circuit boards (PCB), and cabling
- Support prototype development, testing, and verification of electronic assemblies
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting for manufacturing and field issues
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure accurate engineering drawings and specifications
- Manage engineering change documentation and participate in change control processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, manufacturing, and test engineering
- Contribute to the development of new aerospace technologies and products
Minimum Qualifications- Associate degree (AA) with 10+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in electronic packaging for military or aerospace applications
- Hands-on experience with:
- Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA)
- Printed Circuit Boards (PCB)
- Cable design and documentation
- Proficiency with CREO and Windchill
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Familiarity with change management and documentation control processes
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Experience with microwave electronics packaging
- Knowledge of tools such as Zuken
- Hands-on experience building and testing electronic assemblies
- Understanding of materials and processes used in electronics manufacturing
