Job Description:
- Role Title: Lead / Senior ServiceNow Developer (Lead Software Engineer)
- Experience Required: 10+ years in IT/software engineering, with at least 5 to 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow implementation, administration, and custom development.
- Core Focus: Platform architecture, end-to-end multi-module implementations, third-party integrations, team leadership, and governance.
- Platform Architecture & Design: Translate high-level business objectives into scalable, upgrade-safe technical designs and architecture blueprints for the ServiceNow instance.
- Advanced Development & Customization: Write and optimize core platform code including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and custom applications.
- Integrations: Build and manage complex, bi-directional integrations using REST, SOAP, Scripted APIs, and web services connecting ServiceNow to external enterprise systems.
- Module Ownership: Oversee key modules such as ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Request), CSM, ITOM, HRSD, or Security Operations (SecOps).
- Technical Leadership: Lead technical project teams, mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce platform governance, coding standards, and best practices.
- Release & Upgrade Management: Plan and execute biannual ServiceNow platform upgrades, manage Update Sets, and oversee automated testing via ATF (Automated Test Framework).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner directly with business analysts, product owners, and executive leadership to gather functional requirements and shape the roadmap.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Technical Stack:
- Deep proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript, Jelly, HTML/CSS, and ServiceNow REST/SOAP APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Flow Designer, Studio IDE, Service Portal, and CMDB/Discovery.
- Methodologies: Strong background in Agile/Scrum delivery models and Azure DevOps or Jira.
