Job Location: Las Vegas, NV
Job Type: Long Term Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Processing Officer (DPO) to support large-scale field data collection programs. This role is responsible for uploading, validating, organizing, labeling, and tracking datasets collected from field operations. The DPO acts as a key quality gate between field teams and client delivery, ensuring all datasets meet defined quality, privacy, and submission standards before final submission.
The ideal candidate has strong experience working with structured datasets, large media files (video/image/audio), and data tracking workflows using Google Sheets or similar tools. This role requires a high level of accuracy, strong documentation skills, and the ability to detect anomalies in large datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Upload field-collected data to approved storage platforms while ensuring secure handling and successful file transfers.
- Validate datasets against defined acceptance criteria, including file integrity, metadata accuracy, timestamps, and scenario coverage.
- Apply standardized data labeling and tagging conventions (scenario IDs, participant/session IDs, location identifiers, and device details).
- Segment and organize datasets by city, household/session, and scenario types, ensuring complete coverage with no duplicates or missing data.
- Maintain detailed data tracking logs in Google Sheets, including upload status, QA results, rejection reasons, and submission readiness.
- Identify data quality issues such as corrupted files, incomplete uploads, or metadata mismatches, and escalate them to appropriate teams.
- Coordinate with field moderators and technical teams to resolve data gaps or inconsistencies.
- Prepare structured submission-ready data packages with proper documentation and version control.
- Ensure all data handling adheres to privacy, security, and access control policies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with research, field, or media datasets in structured data workflows.
- Strong proficiency with Google Sheets for tracking, validation, and reporting.
- Proven ability to follow strict data labeling and qualification protocols with high accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect data anomalies and inconsistencies.
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
Required Technical Skills
- Experience handling large media files (video, image, audio) including uploading, organizing, and validating files.
- Understanding of file systems, folder structures, and naming conventions.
- Ability to validate metadata fields such as timestamps, IDs, and scenario labels.
- Experience identifying data integrity issues (corrupted files, duplicates, incomplete uploads).
- Knowledge of secure data handling and privacy-aware workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with camera-based or video-driven data collection projects.
- Familiarity with data QA processes and client acceptance criteria.
- Experience preparing datasets for internal or external client submission and review.
Performance Expectations
- Maintain high first-pass data acceptance with minimal rework.
- Ensure zero critical submission failures due to labeling or metadata errors.
- Provide accurate real-time tracking of dataset readiness.
- Identify and escalate data risks early to prevent project delays
