Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys (CIJ) Consultant with deep expertise in Dataverse data architecture, CIJ analytics, and Microsoft Fabric.
The consultant will lead the discovery, mapping, validation, and extraction of CIJ email interaction data into Microsoft Fabric to support Power BI analytics and reporting.
The ideal candidate combines hands-on CIJ real-time journeys experience with strong data architecture and engineering skills, particularly in understanding native KPI calculations, Dataverse entities, and scalable segment membership extraction.

Description:

• Analyze and document CIJ email interaction data and its relationships with contacts, leads, emails, and journeys.
• Identify underlying Dataverse entities and determine how CIJ calculates native email analytics KPIs.
• Reconcile 2–3 customer journeys against native CIJ reports and validate KPI calculations.
• Identify a supported and scalable approach for retrieving membership across approximately 3,000 CIJ segments.
• Configure Link to Microsoft Fabric and design data extraction into the Fabric Lakehouse.
• Define data mappings, relationships, transformation logic, and repeatable extraction processes.
• Advise the client on future CIJ data integration and Power BI reporting opportunities.
• Document the architecture and provide technical knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

• 18+ years of overall IT, data engineering, or CRM technology experience.
• 6+ years of data architecture experience in a consulting environment.
• 5+ years of hands-on Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys experience, specifically real-time journeys.
• Expert knowledge of Dataverse data models, CIJ interaction entities, and analytics data.
• Strong experience with CIJ email engagement data, native KPIs, and segment membership.
• Experience with Link to Microsoft Fabric / Azure Synapse Link for Dataverse.
• Strong Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Power BI, SQL, and Dataverse Web API skills.
• Proven ability to lead technical discovery, data mapping, architecture, and hands-on implementation.
• Excellent communication and client consulting skills.
• Microsoft certifications: PL-400, PL-600, DP-600, or DP-700.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Fabric Data Factory.
• Experience delivering advanced marketing analytics and Power BI reporting solutions.
• MB-220 certification is a plus.
